To quote the brilliant Toni Morrison: "We die. That may be the meaning of life. But we do have language. That may be the measure of life." Here at Pastelle, these words vibrate viscerally. God didn't bless me with the steady hand of a painter, so I use words to imitate life. It is with words that I paint the faces of fictitious characters, but also capture the narratives of everyday people, as words carry me between the mortal worlds of Journalism and research, and the infinite spaces of creative writing.
